We build the way we say we build.
Client sales copy on this site deliberately avoids naming frameworks, because nobody hires us to hear about Astro. This page is for the one visitor who wants proof. This site is itself an Astro build, and the numbers below are pulled automatically from the same budget check enforced on every build, not typed in by hand.
The numbers
What the homepage actually ships.
These figures cover the homepage only. That's what the build's budget check measures, so that's the scope of the claim.
- Page JS
- 17 KB across 1 file
- Preloaded fonts
- 69.8 KB across 2 files
Generated by scripts/gen-stack-data.mjs on every build, from the same
parsing logic that fails the build if the homepage goes over 17 KB of JS or 180 KB
of fonts.
The rest of it
A few of the specific choices.
- Fonts are self-hosted via Fontsource and preloaded, so there is no request to Google Fonts.
- Only one component on the site hydrates as JavaScript in the browser: the contact form, and only once it scrolls into view (
client:visible). Everything else ships as static HTML. - Every route is checked with Vitest, Playwright, and an automated accessibility audit (axe) in both light and dark mode.
